Description
At the heart of Mundane Things lies a mantra, or a question: “This life is yours they say.” Kateema Lee’s poems mine the substance and sediment for what this actually means in the grand algorithmic scheme of 21st-century living. Full of ache and tenderness, they invite us into atemporal reckoning alongside those gone or going before us toward their own optics of sense. They put us in the body and nudge us, too.
